I won’t hold anything back.
There are things that need to be heard, learned…believed
It will hurt.
The way I can look at you, through you.
Lie to me all you want.
But this completely ugly piece you hide,
Is what I search for.
To call it out as it is.
Ugly, decrepit, exhausting.
But I love it
Every last bit of its tangling mass of hurt
They have lied to you
Saying that holding tight is love
Letting go is the art of pulling a trigger
Shooting all the wrongs and deceptions in its chest
Bleeding, flooding to my ankles.
I have no paws, I have no horns
But I can smell your scent
The retched thing you give off
To make every beast around think you have it together
That all your time is not wasted
I caught this aroma long ago and its still there
Stop it
You sell it, and they will buy
Whatever you offer will be the take
It was easy to find you
Should have been easy to let you go
It never was
Here it is
The truth of it all
Even still
Whatever they would pay, I would match
But your price is only for one night
Your debt grows
And I have the cost of your freedom
Before freedom
Is a step

i very much like the ironic ending in the last three lines.

"It was easy to find you
Should have been easy to let you go"
I like how these lines can go together or the first one can stand alone. I think the second line would sound nice if you removed the word, you, but it sounds nice both ways.
